The Brainwave
Tuners frequencies are based on
original research done by Anne Christine Tooley
Every moment of your life
your brain is active with measurable electrical impulses. The
electricity or electrical currents generated by the brain can
be measured with an EEG (electroencephalogram), which
measures the frequency of the electrical current. This
frequency or speed of the brainwave is measured in hertz (hz)
or cycles per second (cps). These specific brainwave frequencies
can be associated with your state of mind at any particular
moment.
The Brainwave Tuners are
a set of 6 forks with the exact frequencies designed to re-educate
the brain for a desired state of mind. This is done by a
process called Brain Entrainment.
Brainwave Entrainment , also called Brainwave Synchronization,
is the process of synchronizing your brain's electrical activity
to resonate to a specific sound frequency. It causes brainwave
frequency to fall into step with a stimulus having a frequency
corresponding to the intended brain-state (for example, to
induce sleep). It depends upon a "frequency following"
response, a naturally occurring phenomenon where the human
brain has a tendency to change its dominant EEG frequency towards
the frequency of a dominant external stimulus.
In order to entrain brainwaves,
either a single
hz frequency or a binaural beat (a fundamental frequency coupled
with a frequency close to the same hz) is used based on the average
measurable frequency of each brainwave. A binural beat is used
to create an electrical response within the brain using frequencies
that are too low for the human ear to hear.
Every time your brain
is stimulated with the appropriate brainwave frequency, the brain
produces a matching electrical response. The brainwave activity
resonates and aligns with that specific stimulus frequency.
So if you know the characteristics of each brainwave, you can
entrain the electrical current of your brain for a desired
affect.
You can entrain your brainwaves
to help you:
- improve your focus and
learning ability
- tap your inner creativity
- go deeper into meditation
- be more relaxed and less
anxious
- relieve insomnia
- help you overcome depression,
anxiety, and addictions
- alleviate ADD and ADHD
- reduce OCD
The 5 measurable brain
waves are: Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta
and Delta. Each has a range of frequencies that correlates
to a particular brain state.
Gamma
no photo, but the waves are higher and closer together than the
Beta image below |
Researchers are just beginning
to understand Gamma brainwaves. They are seen throughout the
entire brain.
Intended for:
- conscious awareness
- alertness
- focused visualization
- increased attention
- heightened learning
- easier study
- greater memory
- peak performance
- greater levels of internal
happiness and compassion
Meditation and adequate sleep elevate
Gamma brainwaves.
People with learning
disorders, mental deficiencies, schizophrenia and
other psychiatric and neurological diseases are often
lacking gamma brainwave activity or have disrupted Gamma
waves. |
Beta
|
Intended for:
- concentration
- focus
- analyzation
- stimulation
- alertness
- enhanced cognition
- helps relieve ADD
and ADHD
Too much in
the right brain hemisphere causes anxiety, fear,
tension and worry. Excess Beta waves are associated with depression,
anxiety, insomnia, and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive
Disorder). Stressful events and tension are also
known to increase beta brain wave activity.
"People with ADD/ADHD
exhibit too little Beta (thinking) activity and too
much Theta (dreaming) activity. This is the classic inattention
of ADD. With ADHD, hyperactivity keeps people from falling asleep.
In essence, the person is combating the high Theta activity
and keeping themselves aroused (by increasing their Beta activity)." Lara Honos-Webb, Ph.D. |
Alpha
|
Intended for:
- deep relaxation
- softened focus
- relaxed vision
- creativity
- beginning of accessing
the unconscious mind
- helps relieve OCD
We experience more Alpha
brainwaves when our eyes are closed, just before falling
asleep, just after waking up before opening our eyes,
and when daydreaming.
Normal Alpha brainwaves
occur equally in both brain hemispheres and cause the production
of Serotonin. OCD (Obessive-Compulsive Disorder)
is directly linked to low levels of serotonin in the brain.
When the flow of serotonin is disrupted, the brain overreacts
with false signals that prompt these people to keep redoing a
task. Those with OCD may benefit from the Alpha brainwave
tuning fork.
Too much in the left hemisphere can cause
depression. Too much in the frontal lobe can cause depression,
ADD and ADHD. Low levels
can cause alcohol and drug addiction because these substances
increase alpha brainwaves.
Physicist Winfried Otto
Schumann calculated the frequency of the electromagnetic field
of the earth. It is called the Earth Resonance Frequency (ERF)
and although fluctuating all the time, it is within the Alpha/
Theta/Delta frequency ranges. |
Theta
 |
Intended for:
- meditation
- trance
- REM dream sleep
- integration
- access to unconscious
mind
- hypnagogic imagery
- increased retention
of learned material
- enhanced emotions
- creativity
- spontaneity
- recovery of long-term
memories, repressed
memories and emotions
- improvement of your spiritual
connection
Abnormally
high levels may cause
depression, daydreaming, ADD, ADHD,
anxiety, distractions, fuzzy thinking, poor
decision making, impulsiveness, and slowed reaction
time. |
Delta
 |
Intended for:
- loss of body awareness
- increased immune functions
- promotes release of
Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
- deep restorative sleep
- revitilization and
rejuvenation of physical body, mind and emotions
- connection with Universal
Energy
- potential for deep
healing
- access to unconscious
and collective unconscious mind
Too much in adults is often found to accompany
brain injury or brain disorders. Children with
ADHD have high levels of Delta and/or Theta brainwaves. |
HOW TO
USE
Gamma
This fork is used alone as a single tuning fork.
- Activate the tuning
fork. To activate,
you can use a Tuning Fork Activator,
tap on the hard pad of your hand, or tap on the hard muscle your
thigh.
- Place a few inches
from one ear for a few seconds until the sound can no longer
be heard. Then
place a few inches from the opposite ear for a few seconds until
the sound can no longer be heard.
- Repeat as it feels
right, but don't overdo.*
Fundamental Frequency (FF)
This fork is used together with either the Beta, Alpha, Theta
and Delta tuning fork. See details below.
Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta
The Fundamental
Frequency (FF) tuning fork is used with either the Beta,
Alpha, Theta or Delta tuning fork. When used together, the
FF tuning fork and either the Beta, Alpha, Theta or Delta tuning
fork creates a third frequency, which is what the recipient
can hear. This
third frequency is the brainwave frequency.
- Activate the FF tuning
fork and either the Beta, Alpha, Theta or Delta tuning fork depending
on which brainwave you wish to activate. To activate, you can use a Tuning
Fork Activator or tap each fork on the hard muscle of each
thigh. It is important to activate each fork at the same time.
- Hold one fork a few
inches from the ear and the other fork a few inches from the
opposite ear.**
- When the sound can
no longer be heard by the recipient, activate the forks again
and this time reverse the forks to the opposite ear. Repeat as
it feels right, but don't overdo.*
*
Less is
better, particularly at the beginning of exposure to these fork(s).
Listen to your body, your
intuition, and get feedback from the person receiving these frequencies
if you can, and you will know when it's complete.Short daily
exposure is recommended over several weeks.
** For most people the forks need
to be nearly the same distance from each ear. The best way is
to ask for feedback from the recipient as to when they hear
the third frequency as you move each fork closer or farther away
from each ear. Do this very slowly as to not over-stimulate
and hence overwhelm your recipient.
Note:
A single tuning fork cannot physically be made for the Beta,
Alpha, Theta and Delta frequencies because they are too low in
hertz. For each of these brainwaves, the Fundamental (FF) tuning
fork must be used in combination with either the Beta, Alpha,
Theta and Delta tuning forks. This allows one to experience the
third frequency, which is what activates the desired brainwave. |
